Administrative Structure

The Evangelical Synod Church (E.S.C.) is an autonomous and self-governing Church or Society. The apex or highest authority of the society is called, ‘Annual Council’ which is held at the end of every year in December first week. In the Annual Council, Church Elders, Pastors are permanent members and few workers are elected as worker’s representative.

The administrative Office is look-after by the Executive Director, Secretaries elected by the Council for a term of four years. The Annual Council on the emergency matters related to church affairs.

Moreover, the three Presbyteries are look after by the Biel (District) Superintendent with Biel (District) Committees, elected by the District Conference which is held at the end of every two year. Any matters, the Biel (District) Committee have found difficult to solve are put up to the Annual Conference/Council for further discussion. The Executive Committee and the District Committee is given some considerable power by the Council to acts on matters which are needed before the Annual Council scheduled.
